Compiling Business Volume Data (Report)

Use

If you use reports RWMBON08 and RWMBON38 you can compile business volume data in the following ways:

Subsequent updating of business volumes

Recompilation of business volume data with subsequent business volume update

Caution

Ensure that no new documents are created while the program is running. In particular, background invoice verification must be deactivated.

Features

Before a complete recompilation of business volume data, you must ensure that any existing business volume data in the system is deleted, to avoid business volumes being updated twice. Select the relevant indicator for this.

The business volume data for all information structures in the system is deleted providing they contain the characteristic Rebate arrangement or Condition record number. The information structure should have a secondary index referring to the relevant characteristic.

If, during a recompilation, a large amount of data is to be added (at least 10% to 15% of the total data volume of the information structure concerned), you can improve performance by deleting the secondary indexes and recreating them after the recompilation. Select the relevant indicator for this.

You can initially carry out a test run in order to view any error messages that may be generated and correct any errors.

You can specify that the execution of the program is terminated or interrupted by a certain point in time.

You can have the system issue a log. You can define what information the log is to contain:

Updated business volume data, including messages that occurred
Message log only

Here, you can also specify the type of messages that are issued (for example, warnings only).

During the program run, you can have the system create analysis data for the arrangements last processed.

This enables you to generate a list output of all document items plus any associated follow-on documents, together with notes on the course of the updating process. This shows you which document items are contained in the document index and why updating was or was not carried out, for example.
