Each sales organization is assigned to exactly one company code, under which the relevant business transactions are entered.

A sales organization can be assigned to one purchasing organization.
Sales organizations and distribution chains
A distribution chain is the assignment between a sales organization and a distribution channel, through which the sales organization distributes materials. A sales organization can be assigned to several distribution channels, through which it can distribute materials and services. A distribution chain links to exactly one sales organization.
