Assigning a Revision Level 

  1. On a departmental data screen in a material master record, choose Create revision level.
  2. A dialog box appears.

  3. Enter a change number.
  4. The system has already determined the revision level automatically on the basis of the numbering configuration defined by your system administrator in Customizing for Engineering Change Management in Define Revision Levels for Materials.

  5. Choose Continue.
  6. A dialog box appears in which you can enter a description of the change made to the object.

  7. Choose Enter.
  8. The system issues a message telling you that it has assigned the revision level to the material. You confirm this message by choosing Enter.

  9. Choose the next function you want to perform or save your data.
