Flagging a Material Master Record for Deletion 

Procedure

  1. In the Material Master menu, choose Material ® Flag for deletion ® Immediately or Schedule.

    2. The initial screen appears.

  2. Enter the number of the material you want to flag for deletion and specify the organizational levels at which it is to be deleted.

    3. If you want to schedule the setting of the deletion flag, enter the date required.

  3. Choose Enter.

    4. A data screen appears containing the organizational levels you specified on the initial screen.

  4. Select the organizational level at which you want to flag the material for deletion and save your data.

If you scheduled the setting of the deletion flag, it must be activated. You do this using the same function as to activate scheduled changes to material master records. See Activating Scheduled Changes to Material Master Records.

Result

The next time the archive and delete program is run, the system processes only those materials flagged for deletion.
