Use
For Release 4.6C, SAP is supplying a set of role templates that you can use or modify to fit your requirements. There is a default user menu for each role template. This menu allows access to all activities that belong to a role:
- Transactions
- Reports
- General Web links
- Executable files
- Knowledge Warehouse links
Furthermore, you can include MiniApps in a role template.
With the help of the default authorization profile, which you only need to modify and activate after installation if necessary, you can modify the authorizations for each role.
Report RSUSR070 provides an overview of the role templates supplied by SAP. You can use this report to generate a description of the roles available.
In the mySAP.com Workplace shipment, Release 2.10, the role templates are linked to user roles corresponding to the business scenarios and workplace descriptions on a cross-component and cross-application basis. Role templates from various SAP components can be combined in a user role, for example, the user role Accounting clerk can contain role templates from Accounts Receivable, Business Information Warehouse (BW), or Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
As a new component in the mySAP.com Edition, the mySAP.com Workplace provides you with role-based access to all systems, functions, and services that a user requires to do his or her job. The screen is tailor-made for a user's role in the company and at his or her workstation.
