Scope of
Functions
Using Internet reporting for external business
partners, you can provide your customers and vendors with display access to
their own accounts via the Internet. You prepare this access in Customizing,
and then offer simple access by including a URL on your homepage, or advising
your business partners by e-mail.
The individual reporting functions are called
Services. The following services are
offered:
- Line item display (open items)
- Line item display (cleared items)
- Line item display (all items)
Data
security and protection
Your business partner logs on to the SAP System
with a user-ID and password. He is only authorized to carry out the
information services activated for him and only sees the data in the accounts
assigned to him. The selection of data presented to him is carried out at
field level by ALV layout variant.
The standard SAP System contains preconfigured
services for the most important scenarios.

The system administrator must create an R/3
user for the business partner.

- Carry out the following activities in the
Implementation Guide for Financial Accounting:
- Define Service Variants for the Selection of
Line Items: Maintain report variants for RFITEMAR and RFITEMAP.
- Define layout variants for displaying line
items: Maintain ALV variants. The layout variant is provided with the report
selection variant.
- Assign accounts and services to the business
partner Internet user in the activity Assign Accounts and Services to
Users.
- Publish the links to the services on a webpage
or by e-mail.
