New Functions for Deleting Transaction Data

Description

If you choose in the function 'Delete transctn data' the option that deletes the transaction data of an individual ledger, a popup window appears which you have to fill in. This popup window contains a new field: 'Check index table'.

This field is only important when data is to be deleted from a pool table and if at the same time the selection button to delete line items has been activated.

A control run is performed in the SL administrated index files (GLIDXB and GLIDXC), if you selected the field 'Check index table'. The purpose of this control run is to find and delete unnecessary index records. Unnecessary index records should only be available in the system when, for example, transaction data was deleted by a self programmed ABAP-program and the deletion was therefore inconsistent.

Since reading the index files requires a relatively long time, you should only select this option, if you have to at all, just before the production start has been selected.
