Replacing a Pump in an Operational System

Purpose

A pump has been replaced as part of a maintenance task carried out on an operational system. The usage site of the pump is represented in a hierarchical functional location structure, and the pump also forms part of a supply network. These changes to the system configuration now need to be represented in the technical database. To do this, you select a piece of equipment that is available in the warehouse and briefly examine its attributes and internal structures. You identify the installation site using the bill of materials (BOM) for the functional location, and then replace the piece of equipment in a single step from this graphic overview. The process is completed with a brief analysis of the usage history of the defective piece of equipment.
