Universal Foreign Trade / Customs Data Upload 

Scope of Functions

The availability of current data is imperative for processing foreign trade activities correctly and in accordance with legal regulations. A new function, Universal Foreign Trade Upload, makes it possible for you to load data into your system for use in various aspects of foreign trade processing. The new function supports the upload of the following data for this release:

Not only is current data required to do foreign trade business, but a need also exists to transfer it to other systems within a company, process it, and then transfer it later to subsidiaries.

You can access these functions in the Foreign Trade Customs Data Cockpit. To go to the Data Service Cockpit from the SAP standard menu, choose Logistics -> Materials Management (or Sales and Distribution) -> Foreign Trade/Customs -> Data service -> Cockpit - Data Service. These functions are located in the Service Functions section.

Prerequisites

Data is received as a file in IDoc format based on the interface description. Additional information is available from the certified data provider. You need to do the following:

1. Define a port to receive the data from an external provider.
2. Define a logical system that will be used to supply the data to you.
3. Define a partner profile for the entry of the data to the logical system
4. Define a mail recipient if you want to receive a mail notification in your inbox for each new IDoc.
