Recording Working Times in SAP Retail Store

Use

Store managers can use the Internet Application Component (IAC) Time Sheet to record the working times of their store associates over the internet or intranet.

Using the Internet Application Component has the following advantages:

Data entry independent of location and time

Shorter administration channels

Easier to use (no training required)

GUI installation not required

Only a HTML browser is required

Less administration

Integration

From a technical point of view, the Recording Working Time in SAP Retail Store IAC is based on the Recording Working Times via the Internet/Intranet IAC.

Prerequisites

The time sheet is set up in the SAP system.

Services WSHT and CATW are set up on the web server.

A personnel number exists in the SAP system for the associate for whom you want to record working times.

You have created a STORE entry profile (that meets the store's requirements) for recording working times in the store. This is used as the standard profile for recording working times in SAP Retail Store. For information on the time sheet, see the CA section of the Implementation Guide (IMG).

If, in exceptional cases, you want to assign a store manager an entry profile that differs from the standard working time entry profile, maintain parameter CVR in the user defaults.

Authorization/Security

A standard role containing all the required authorizations is available. For further information, see Assignment of Authorizations for the Time Sheet.

Standard settings and predefined data

Parameter CVR in the user defaults assigns a predefined entry profile to a user. If you do not maintain this user parameter, the system uses the standard entry profile STORE.

The system uses user parameters KOS (cost center) and CAC (controlling area) for selection for the personnel numbers in the list.

The system can determine important working time attributes, such as the sending/receiving cost center or the activity type automatically from the personnel record of the associate, and uses this information in the time sheet.

Features

Depending on your Customizing settings for the profile, the following functions are available:

Search function

Some of the working time attributes offer a search function, which you can use to find out the possible values for these input fields.

The search function is available for:

Sender cost center
Sender order
Receiver cost center
Activity type
WBS element
Attendance/absence type

Check entry

You can use this function to check your entries without having to import data to the SAP system.

Save and release the entered data for approval, or transfer to the target component.

You can save the entered times with the status In process or release them using the status Save and release.

Adjustment options

The service name of this IAC is WSHT. You can find all the related data under this service name in SAP@Web Studio. From a technical point of view, the service is based on service CATW.

Constraints

This Internet application component

does not support workflow relating to the release procedure

does not allow you to enter long texts, such as comments.
