Performing the Forecast with a Graphical Display 

  1. Call up the transaction as follows:
  2. Menu Path

    From the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) node, choose Materials Forecast ® Forecast ® Individual Forecast ® Execute.

  3. Enter the following data:
  4. Field

    Material

    Plant

  5. Choose .
  6. Choose Historical values.
  7. The system displays all the historical values.

  8. Choose .
  9. Choose Forecast values.
  10. The system displays all the current forecast values. You can change these values.

  11. Choose .
  12. Choose Execute.
  13. In the Enter Forecast Date dialog box, enter the following data:
  14. Field

    Europe

    North America

    Date

    The first day of the next month

    The first day of the next month

  15. Choose .
  16. The system displays the new forecast values.

  17. Choose Forecast ® Graphic.
  18. The system displays the consumption values and forecast values in the form of a graphic.

  19. Choose Global options.
  20. Select a time unit.
  21. Choose Continue.
  22. The system generates the graphic again and displays the consumption values and forecast values for the new time unit.

    In the case of small time units, such as days or hours, you can use the scroll bar underneath the graphic to scroll forwards and backwards in the forecast period.

    Choose other time units in the Global Options dialog box (it remains open) and use them to see how the graphic changes.

  23. Choose Graphic ® Exit.
  24. Choose .
  25. The system confirms that the forecast values have been saved.

  26. Choose until the overview tree appears.
