attendance and
absence reasons
In this step, you define which attendance and
absence reasons can be entered in the subsystem.

for accumulated flextime hours by entering an absence reason at the terminal
(pincode).
Preconditions
You have specified which attendance/absence
types your employees are allowed to enter at the terminal.
See also: Absence catalog and
Attendance catalog.
Standard settings
The standard system contains reference
entries.
Activities
1. Clarify which subsystem groups can be used to enter absence
and attendance reasons. Enter the relevant groups in the Subs.grpg field.
2. Decide which employee subgroup grouping for work schedules
and which personnel subarea grouping for absence and attendance types may use
the absence/attendance reason. Enter the relevant groupings in the ES grpg or PS grpg field.
3. Decide on codes to be entered at the terminal for specific
attendance and absence reasons. Enter the four-character code in the A/A reason field, and the attendance or absence type in the A/A type field.
4. Decide whether the absence or attendance should last for a
full day and be assigned to the following day. Activate the
Subsequent day assignment field if
necessary.
5. If the absence or attendance lasts for less than one workday
and is recorded along with the first or last time event of the day, you must
specify how the system should set the corresponding start or end time. Enter
this in the Delimit start/end field.
