Personnel calculation rule (formerly "cycle") TE21 determines whether an absence on a public holiday is to be regarded as an absence day.
In previous releases this decision was made in personnel calculation rule TE21 using operation VARABVCL with the valuation class (for table T554C, Valuation of absences ). This valuation class is assigned to the absence in table T554S (see also view V_554S_G, Absence: Data Relevant to Payment ). However, as it was previously, the personnel calculation rule did not obtain meaningful values when used with the absences preset in the standard system.
As of release 3.0A personnel calculation rule TE21 no longer queries the valuation class from table T554C but instead the PDC valuation class (time evaluation class ) for the absence. This takes place using operation VARABCAT instead of VARABVCL. In the standard system a distinction is made between Time evaluation classes 01, 02 and 03. For information on these classes, please refer to the documentation on data element KLBDE (see also table T554S, PDC class field or view V_554S_E, Time class field).
Check whether you use personnel calculation rule TE21 as it is in the standard SAP system in your accounting schema for time evaluation ( RPTIME00 ). If this is the case, check the time evaluation class in view V_T554S_E ten die Klasse für Zeitauswertung in Sicht V_T554S_E for the absences you use and determine whether each of the absences is processed correctly in personnel calculation rule TE21.
If you want processing to take place as it was in releases previous to 3.0A, replace operation VARABCAT in TE21 with VARABVCL.
