Functional area for settlement in cost of sales accounting 

Use

The functional area is an outline criteria for an enterprise, according to functional points, for example: Mamagement, Sales and distribution, research and development. This is necessary in order to generate a profit invoice and loss invoice according to the cost of sales accounting.

From Release 4.6C, you can, when creating or changing a sales document for items, display and, if necessary, change the functional area (Account assignment tab page, More button) with your own CO object

Effects on Customizing

In Customizing for the requirements classes (IMG for Sales and Distribution under Sales and Distribution --> Basic Functions --> Account Assignment/Costing --> Maintain Requirements Classes For Costing/Account Assignment), the Functional area field was added as new.

This field is only included for items with the account assignment category E. If you set this in Customizing for cost of sales analysis, this is copied as a default value for sales document processing, and can be overwritten in the sales document. Customized enhancements

With the help of the user exit MV45AFZB_USEREXIT_CHECK_VBKD, you can define your own rules for the Functional field area (VBKD-FKBER), according to which the functional area should be created. In order that values can be processed further from the user exit, you must call the routine VBKD_PROCESS (SAPFV45K).
