Changeable

Definition

Determines the behaviour of a settlement rule after a change to the master data.

Use

During generation of settlement rules, another settlement rule could already exist for an object. The indicator determines how the system should continue if this is the case.

It can differentiate between the following:

Normally, the system does not modify manually created or changed rules. If a rule was originally created by the system, but then you modified it manually, it qualifies as a manually changed rule. This means that the system does not change it during automatic generation.

When the system determines the settlement rules, the indicator specifies whether the distribution rules should be modified. The following are the settings available:

Always overwrite
The system automatically overwrites distribution rules that it generated, regardless of whether you used them or not. If you already used an existing settlement rule, then the validity of the old distribution rule is restricted to the period of the last time it was used. Then the system creates a new distribution rule that is valid from the following period.
