In Release 4.6C, additional functions have been included in the existing services:

For both services, it is possible to set customer-specific hypertext links to sources of additional information residing either in the company's Intranet or in the Internet. The following types of links are possible:

Effects on System Administration

Before you use the payslip simulation function you should test whether your system can effectively handle simultaneous generation of multiple payslips (if, for example, you are a large company with an open enrollment period). For more information, see the documentation Set ESS Parameters.

Effects on Customizing

Depending on which of the new features you want to use, you need to make the appropriate settings in the Benefits Implementation Guide in the section Employee Self-Service.

To make this function available to employees, you need to make settings in the step Set ESS Parameters.
To provide links you need to specify a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) for each source of information and assign it to objects such as a plan, or define it as a generally available link.
You specify the URL of the search engine you want to use in the step Assign Doctor Search Information to Provider .
