Initializing the AutoCAD-PPS Interface

Use

You only need to initialize this interface if you are installing the AutoCAD-SAP interface for the first time, or if you upgrade your AutoCAD version.

Procedure

The following dialog box will appear:

Driver: You can select a database format (depending on the drivers installed).

Cache: see file "genpps.hlp"

Catalog: You can enter the path where you want to store your reference table here.

Schema: see file "genpps.hlp"

Table: You can specify the table name for the reference table here.

OK

Starts the initialization process for the PPC interface.

Cancel

Terminates the initialization process for the PPC interface. You will not be able to save any AutoCAD part references for future uses of the parts in question.

The reference between the AutoCAD/Genius part ID and the material master record in the SAP System will be saved in a separate table. A file with the name "genpps.dbf" will be created in the directory "\gen" (see information above). Always make a backup copy of this file!
