Scheduling Control in the Initial Screen

Use

You use the Scheduling indicator in the initial screen of the planning run to determine exactly how planned orders for materials that are produced in-house are to be scheduled. The indicator is relevant for all planned orders that are new or have been changed or have had their BOM reexploded.

Features

The following options are available:

Lead time scheduling calculates the precise start and finish dates for production. The system only creates capacity requirements if lead time scheduling has been carried out.

For more information, see Scheduling.

The system continues to use lead time scheduling for planned orders that have already undergone lead time scheduling. This is even applies if you choose basic date determination in the initial screen.

In consumption-based planning, the determination of basic dates is normally used as it deals with materials that are procured externally.
