Enhancements to the depreciation posting rules
Description
In Asset Accounting customizing, different settings can be made for the periodic posting of depreciation to financial accounting. A new parameter has been added to these control options.
- Revaluation posting
Until now, the revaluations in an area were
automatically posted to financial accounting. You now have the option of
revaluing the assets in an area, without posting the revaluations to financial
accounting. To do this, you must switch off the "Post revaluations" option in
the posting rules for the periodic depreciation posting.
Change system parameters in customizing
In order to use the new option when configuring your posting rules, you need to use the customizing function to revise your settings in Asset Accounting. However, the system ensures that the posting rules used up to now remain in force if you do not make the changes.
