Transferring Applicant Data to Employee
Database
Description
As of 3.0A a new procedure is available for data transfer. You now have
several options for transferring data.
- You can transfer data directly to the employee file from the initial
Recruitment screen using the menu path Recurring tasks -> Transfer
applicant data -> Execute. This is only possible if both databases
are installed in the same system (feature PRELI = *).
- You can also write the data to a local data carrier (PC download) from the
initial Recruitment screen. This data carrier can then be transferred to the
employee database using an event (features PRELI = N, PAPLI = N). The event
must have function character 7 in table T529A.
- You can also transfer the applicant data directly from within the employee
database using an event (function character 7). (Feature PAPLI = *).
- You can also transfer the applicant data from another system using an
event (function character 7) in the employee database. This is only possible
if there is an RFC connection. (Feature PAPLI = DXXXXX, where XXXXX stands for
the name of the RFC connection).
The procedure always takes place using an event. First, the info group on
which it is based is read. If it contains applicant data, this is proposed on
the screen. The data can be changed. After the info group, the system proposes
the other data on the applicant database for transfer.
&SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION&
If you are working with separate systems and do not want to use a local
file, you must create an RFC connection.
Change system parameters in customizing
The standard SAP system contains three events for transferring applicant
data to the master data file. Once you have checked that you do not use the
following entries yourself, you can transfer entries from the following
tables:
- T529A: Event "60", "61" and "62"
- T529T: Event text on event "60", "61" and "62"
- T530 : Event type "60", "61" and "62"
- T588C: Menu "G 48" and "G 49"
- T588T: Text for menu "G 48" and "G 49"
- T588D: Info group "48" and "49"
- T588B: Entry "14" in event menu
You must enter the fact that your two databases are integrated in features
PRELI and PAPLI

Further notes
You can still use the old batch input procedure, however it can no longer
be accessed via the menu. To do this you must use report RPAPRT03.
