Changes to Cost of Sales Accounting 

Use

Changes were made to the form of Cost of Sales Accounting. You can now enter the functional area in the master data of additional objects:

• Cost center type

• Project profile

• Project definition

• WBS element

• Network type

• Network header

• Network activity

• Production orders and related order types

• Product cost collector and related order types

• Standard cost objects

• Cost object hierarchy

• PM, QM, SM orders and related order types

• Sales order item

• Requirements class

For objects that do not have a field for entering the functional area in the master data, you can derive the functional area as previously using asubstitution.

Effects on Existing Data

If you have already activated cost of sales accounting, you can continue to use your substitution. You need not make any adaptations. You can, however, simplify your substitution by enters the functional area in the master data of the objects listed above.

Effects on Customizing

The settings for activating cost of sales accounting are found in Financial Accounting Customizing under Financial Accounting Global Settings -> Company Code -> Cost of Sales Accounting .
