Mail Connection
Description
As of Release 3.0, Recruitment is connected to the mail system. It is thus possible to send mails on actions and when editing infotype records.
- A mail can be sent about a particular action to the following:
- Personnel officer responsible
- Person responsible for action
- Person responsible for reference action
- The system enables you to send a mail using SAPoffice while processing an infotype record. For further information please refer to Mail Connection for Changing Infotypes .
The standard SAP system contains a variety of standard texts which can be used for mails.
- The standard texts for mails on applicant actions are stored under the text ID PAML:
- MAIL-APPLICANT (Note on any applicant action)
- MAIL-APP-INTERVIEW (Note on the action "Appointment for interview")
- The standard texts for mails on changes to infotypes are stored under the text ID PAMA:
- MAIL_FOR_I0001_B (Note on a change to infotype 0001, Org. Assignment)
When creating a standard text in the SAPscript Editor you can query the variables supported. The possible structures can be displayed using the menu path Include -> Symbols -> Program Structures. You can include the desired variables in a format of your choice by further navigation in the subsequent screens.

If you want to send a mail for actions to be generated automatically during
an applicant event, you must change feature PACTV for
automatic generation of applicant actions.
Further notes
The style and layout set to be used for the mail is set in the SAPscript control tables. Choose Text objects and IDs , Change, in the SAPscript Settings transaction. Change the settings for the text object "APP-MAIL" in the subsequent Change Text Objects screen.
