Defining the Planning Segment 

Prerequisites

You must create a line hierarchy and insert a sort buffer between the line segments.

Procedure

  1. Starting from the planning table choose Sequencing ® Select line segments.

    2. The system displays the graphic display of the line hierarchy.

  2. To reset the current planning segment, select it and choose Edit ® Planning segment ® Deselect.
  3. Click on the new line segment to be defined as the planning segment and choose Edit ® Planning segment ® Define.
  4. Choose Back.

Result

The system uses the line segment you defined as the planning segment for scheduling in the sequence schedule.
