Reconciliation 
Scope of Functions
As of Release 4.6C the material reconciliation function is especially important for pharmaceutical production because users can control the material quantities used in production.
Material reconciliation is used to analyse and verify ingredients after the production process has ended. It allows you to compare the material quantity that actually flowed into production with the planned quantity or the quantity of the material produced.
Material reconciliation is based on the goods movements for process orders, such as:
- Goods receipts with all returns and all reversals
- Goods issues with all returns and all reversals
Therefore any information on the ingredients that you can visually reproduce by way of the movement types can be displayed
Material reconciliation can be flexibly arranged, depending on the the information required for the production of a material. The following can be determined individually for each production:
- The goods movements that are to flow into material reconciliation
- The components that are to flow into material reconciliation
In the results report, you can display the results from the calculations
for material reconciliation
Documentation
The material reconciliation results flow into the batch record and serve as documentation for the production process.
Effects on Customizing
To be able to carry out material reconciliation, you must make the required settings in Customizing by choosing: Logistics - General -> Handling Unit Management -> Basics -> Production -> Material Reconciliation. Make the following settings:
- Create formula parameters
- Assign movement types to parameters
- Create formulas
