Define background job

Define background job

In this processing step, you define a background job for deleting process messages and their logs. You have to make the following settings:

Initial screen

any job name

job class A or B

if necessry, the target computer on which the job is to run

Start date of the job

The job should run periodically at certain time intervals: option Date/Time with the time interval stored as a period value.

Requirements

The user defining the background job must have the authorization to delete process messages and their logs.

Activities

To define a background job, proceed as follows:

1. Choose the activity Define background job.

2. Make the settings described above.

3. Save the settings.

Further Notes

If the background job terminates, the resulting inconsistencies and incomplete data records can be eliminated by starting the job again.
