Repeating the Process 

Purpose

The Repeat and Update options provide different functionality when used combined or separately. Make sure you know which is required for the version of Payroll Outsourcing you are using.

Using Repeat and Update options in Gross Payroll

Use the Repeat and Update options when you need to recreate an IDoc from the previous run. In order to do this, you must not have exited payroll on the control record. Select the same period as you used for the last export to re-run the payroll export option, and use both the Repeat and Update options. If you were unable to complete or to export an IDoc file for whatever reason, then you can use this option to create a new IDoc to export to the third-party payroll service provider.

Using Repeat and Update options with Master Data

Use the Repeat and Update options when you need to recreate an IDoc for the previous payroll. Master Data only allows you to repeat the previous payroll. It does not allow you to go back to a prior pay period. If you need to do this, you can perform one of the following options.
