Document management: Object links
Description
As from Release 3.0, further object links are supported in the SAP standard
system. The procedure for finding a document which you wish to allocate to an
SAP master record (such as a material master record) has changed.
The following object links are now supported in
the standard system:

- If you want to link a document from the processing functions for an SAP
master record (such as a material master record), please note the following
change:
- The pushbutton Find no longer exists. You can
now find the document using the possible entries function. To do this, first
enter the data you know in the key fields. For the document number, you can
make a generic entry (such as MA*).
- If you display the possible entries for any of these fields, the system
branches off to the initial screen for document search. The document type and
document number you entered are displayed as default values.
Note:
If a document whose fields you can use in your document key has already been
linked, position the cursor on one of these fields and display the possible
entries here.
However, you can also overwrite the data of an existing entry.
- Based on your selection criteria, the system generates a list from which
you can select the required document by double-clicking on it.
- The system enters the document in the list of linked documents,
positioning it by document type.
