Define process
message categories
In this section, you define the message
categories you want to use in your plant.
Standard
Settings
The standard system contains message categories
for:
- The integration with PP, MM, and
QM
- Status management of orders and control
recipes
For information on how to copy these message
categories to your plant, see section Copy predefined message categories.
For more detailed information on the function
and processing of the messages, refer to the application documentation for
process management.
Activities
To create a message category, proceed as
follows:
1. Choose New
entries.
2. Enter a key and a description for the message
category.
Please note that the
name range PI_ is reserved for message categories
defined by SAP.
3. Specify how the system is to treat messages of the message
category if a destination error occurs.
4. Save your settings.
