Removing the Defective Pump 

Use

In a previous process step you created a malfunction report for the defective pump. An initial inspection has shown that the pump cannot be repaired and that it will have to be replaced. You replace the pump in this process step.

Procedure

  1. Use the following procedure to call the transaction:

    From the Management of Technical Objects node, choose Functional Location ® Structural display

  3. Choose .

    4. The functional location Inlet pump plant - screening plant is displayed along with the installed piece of equipment. This is the defective pump that is now to be dismantled.

  4. To jump to the master record of equipment that is still installed, double click on the equipment.
  5. To edit the equipment master record, choose .
  6. Choose Structure ® Change InstallLoc...

    7. The installation location is stored in the FunctLocation field.

  7. Choose Dismantle.

    8. The FunctLocation field is now empty.

  8. Choose .
  9. Choose .

    10. The equipment will be still be displayed as installed.

  10. To update the screen display, choose .
  11. Enter the following data:

  12. To view the structure display, choose .
  13. Do not leave this screen.

Result

It is no longer possible to expand the hierarchy of the functional location Inlet pump plant - screening plant. The defective pump has now been removed.
