"Define users"

You can use this menu option to define a master record for each user in the SD System.

Among other things, you have to define authorizations, defaults, addresses and parameters for each user. You can subsequently change or add specifications.

To facilitate the procedure for creating master records and documents, you can enter the relevant organizational units as user parameters in the user master record. Then you do not need to enter the organizational units because the system proposes the values automatically when you create the master records or documents.

The following are examples of IDs defined for user parameters:

Requirements

Before you can assign authorizations to the user master records, you must define the authorizations and the authorization profiles (see "Define profiles" ).

Actions

1. Create a master record for each user.
You can create users with the same authorization profiles (e.g. in the same functional area) using the copy function.
2. Create fixed values, an address and parameters for the user master record as required.
