Classifying attributes for project summarization in
the WBS and network
Description
As of Release 3.0A, maintenance of classifying attributes for the project
summarization in the work breakdown structure is found under Project
summarizationand not under Classification.
Reasons:
1. Classification in the WBS is used mainly
in summarization.
It is not, generally speaking, suitable for
other purposes (user-defined characteristicas as company-specific master data
fields etc.) for reasons of performance, data volume, and so on.
2. The network includes various
classification functions. In agreement with the WBS and depending on their
usage, they are called:
- Classification system: class type 21
- Order summarization: class type 13 for order summarization (production
orders, maintenance orders, networks)
- Project summarization: class type 14
