The step identifier contains individual steps in a "strategy" for the "Flexible Assignment of Costing Keys" .
For steps of the type "enhancement", the identifier can be used to separate different jumps to the function module "EXIT_SAPLKEAB_004" (SAP enhancement "COPA0002" ).
Moreover, this identifier makes it possible for the system to jump directly from the initial screen to the assignment rule screen for rule maintenance (see "Goto -> Direct call using step ID"). This is useful when you want to create a batch-input session.
