As of Release 3.0, there is a separate condition category for price components that vary according to changes in daily prices. It causes the price of the material to be recalculated at the time of PO creation and goods receipt to reflect the current (day's) ruling market price. In the PO, the user chooses the date that is used for price determination purposes. In the case of the goods receipt, the pricing date is the posting date.
The following settings need to be made for each precious metal:
Dimensionless unit of measure:
You must set up a so-called "dimensionless unit of measure", i.e. a unit
that links the precious metal to it (e.g. GAU for "gram of gold").
In the material master record, the proportion of the precious metal is
specified for this unit of measure (e.g. one piece of wire = 3 GAU).
Two new condition types:
Both condition types have the condition class 'A', the condition category 'U', and the calculation rule 'C' (quantity-dependent). Both must have the same unit of measure (e.g. GAU) assigned to them.
The condition type for the current daily price (GAU2) must have an access sequence assigned to it. In the standard system, access sequence 0001 is provided for this purpose.
New entries in the calculation schemas (pricing procedures):
Document calculation schema
The two condition types must be included in the document schema. In the
standard system, the document schema RM0000 is available for this purpose.
The two condition types must be entered in the document schema in the above
sequence. Different, but directly consecutive, steps must be assigned to both.
For neither of them may the indicator "Statistical" be set.
The first condition type must be marked as "manual" and must have the
calculation formula "31".
The second condition type must not be marked as "manual". It must have the
calculation formula "32" and the requirement "31".
Additional calculation schema for price
In the standard system, the document schema RM0002 is available.
Here you must enter the first condition type (GAU1). The indicator
"statistical" must be set.
If you maintain the gross price in the purchasing info record, you must
maintain a condition for the precious metal price on which this gross price is
based.
In the standard system, the condition type GAU1 is available. For example,
maintain a gold price of $ 20 per gram for this condition type.
To maintain the current precious metal prices, proceed as follows:
