If you specify batch numbers in a delivery, the system automatically copies this data into MM-WM so that the correct batch can be picked. If you do not specify batch numbers for a batch-relevant material, MM-WM automatically determines batches based on the date of goods receipt. The oldest batch is selected first. If discrepancies occur between the picked quantities and the delivery quantities, the procedure is exactly the same as for deliveries without batches.
