Conversion of customer-specific object types (EDI,
ArchiveLink, Workflow Management)
Description
The following information only affects you if you defined your own object
types within Workflow Management (Release 2.1, Release 2.2).
A conversion of your object types is necessary due to the upwardly
compatible development of Workflow Management to SAP Business Workflow. This
conversion largely occurs automatically.
Process types which you defined remain executable with the converted object
types. In the future, use the SAP Business Workflow tools to create new
process types.
The process types and object types provided in the SAP standard were
changed internally. You do do not need to carry out any further actions.
Installation information
To initiate the conversion of the object types, proceed as follows:
1. Start the transaction SWO1.
2. Position the cursor on "Release 2.1
objects types" and choose the function "Set focus".
3. Position the cursor on "your" object
type which you want to convert and choose "Object type" -> "Convert".
4. In the dialog with the system, make the
following specifications:
- Application: enter "Z" for customer-specific modifications.
- Program: assign a name for the program of the object type from your
customer-specific name range. The methods and attributes are implemented in
this program.
- Short description of the object type
- Element name of the key fields and the method parameters
In the last three specifications, you can
generally copy the proposed entries.
5. Confirm your entries with "Continue" and
terminate the conversion this way.
