Work centers: Changed functions

Description

This release note describes the functions that have changed in Release 3.0 for work center maintenance.

1. Changed meaning of the indicators in the control key

The meaning of the indicators Capacity planning and Scheduling in the control key that can be maintained on the Defaults screen and transferred into the task list has changed:

If you maintain the Capacity planning indicator in Customizing for work centers or routings, you should also maintain the Scheduling indicator.

1. Work center assignments

Until now, you could maintain assignments of the following objects in the work center:

As of Release 3.0, the HR active indicator is replaced by the following keys:

If you want to activate the integration of PD with Logistics, enter 'x' for the Logistics integration flag and enter the integration plan version that specifies the plan version from PD planning which you want to integrate with Logistics.

As of Release 3.0, you can maintain assignments to the following objects in the work center:

The data entered for assignments to qualifications, positions and people is checked against data from the PD System. Assignments that have already been maintained in releases prior to 3.0 that can no longer be maintained in Production Planning, for example. Data is still displayed in the PD when you maintain the work center and can be used in Production Planning.

You can maintain the assignments to the work center when you create or change a work center, for example, by selecting the menu options Goto -> Assignments and the object you want to assign.
