Non-cumulative values in the SAP-EIS Information System in Release 3.0A

Description

As of Release 3.0A, this function lets you define key figures in your reports so that the system updates them as non-cumulative values instead of adding them up over periods.

You assign two forms of aggregation to each key figure:

1. time-based aggregation
2. object aggregation

Whereas the system adds up cumulative values for both types of aggregation, non-cumulative values must have the aggregation type LAST or AVERAGE. For rates, such as stock prices, you can also choose MAX or MIN. In that case you must also choose a time reference field (usually the period), and the key figure must be posted for every value of this reference field. For example, an inventory must be entered for every month.
