Merchandise and Assortment Planning: SAP Business Workflow Integration
Use
To co-ordinate the sequence of the individual planning activities, thereby ensuring the authorized employee runs the planning activity at the correct time and the next employee continues the planning, MAP supports the SAP Business Workflow with Release 4.6C.
Scope of Functions
The following new elements are available to help you create a workflow that matches the requirements of your organization and your business processes for MAP:
New business object types:
- Object type BUS1177: Scenario for Merchandise and Assortment Planning
- Object type BUW3061: Manual Planning in Merchandise and Assortment Planning
Standard tasks that can be used in workflow definitions:
- WXP_D_DISP for the Display method in BUS3061
- WXP_D_GETID for the GetObjectReference method in BUS3061
- WXP_D_PLAN for the Change method in BUS3061
Standard activity groups to be used to locate the processor within a workflow:
- WXP_PLANNER (creator of planning data) is the defaulted processor of standard task WXP_D_PLAN.
- WXP_VERIFIER (planning data verifier) is the defaulted processor of standard task WXP_D_DISP.
- WXP_COORD (planning co-ordinator) is the defaulted co-ordinator of the standard tasks detailed above. Therefore, the co-ordinator is automatically informed when status' and deadlines are exceeded and processing is complete.
When locating a processor, you can differentiate between planning layouts and manual planning variants.
Within your own workflow definitions, you can adjust the activity groups to meet your own requirements. Alternatively, you can use the activity groups to locate the processor or oversee running for other tasks.
As well as the standard functionalities for object services, workflows can also be started by triggering events.

Release Upgrade Information
After upgrading from 4.6A or 4.6B to 4.6C, reorganization program RWIS_PLAN_REORG2 must be run once before MAP can be used.
