Customizing Procedure Model - New Functions

Description

Up to now, the procedure model was used purely for the documentation for the data/application flow of R/3 implementation projects.

The procedure model has two new functions in Release 3.0.

1. Navigation function
The procedure model can now be used as a navigation element. The relevant activities are hidden behind every work section in the procedure model. By double-clicking on a work section you can display a window containing all the respective activities and can select them directly from there. The considerable advantage of this procedure lies in the transparency of sequence which is recommended for the R/3 implementation.
2. Status management and documentation
In addition to detailed planning of deadlines, employee allocations and status information on the individual steps of the Implementation Guide, you can now also carry out planning for the work packages of the procedure model.
Furthermore, you can now also enter your own notes for the work packages of the procedure model.
The same functions are available for the documentation and status management as in the Implementation Guide.
