Execute Mass Generation

In this IMG activity, you can generate information structures and updating in larger quantities at the same time.

In contrast to the option of marking a regeneration, generation takes place immediately in mass generation. This means that you do not have to wait until the next time you access the function. In addition, you are able to generate not only dependent elements such as standard analyses and planning programs, but also database tables for the information structures.

When you use mass generation for information structures, it is possible to further restrict the selection of information structures, so that information structures are first generated in accordance with those versions that already exist in edited form, and on the other hand, that only the already generated versions are regenerated, which means that edited versions are not included.

It is also possible to make further distinctions in the mass generation, by selecting database tables which belong to the designated information structures for generation, or by choosing components that are dependent upon the information structures (for example evaluation structures, planning screens).

Mass generation of updating is dependent on the information structure and the update group.

Note

If you want to execute this program as a background job, you need to specify a variant.
