In this IMG activity, you transport the sample settings predefined by SAP for PP-PI to your logon client. This applies to all settings in the following sections of the SAP reference IMG of the reference client:
Plant-related settings are copied from plant 0001 of the SAP reference client to plant 0001 of the logon client. From here, you can transport it to all your plants using the familiar copy function.
You can carry out this step after a system upgrade. This enables you to
transport not only specified settings but all Customizing settings for the
areas mentioned.
When the system is first implemented or a client is created, the sample
settings are transported automatically.
Warning
Settings that have already been made in the target client are not overwritten by this step. However, new settings from the reference client are added to them. In addition, assignments to already existing objects are transported (for example, characteristic assignments to process message categories). We recommend, therefore, that you do not transport all settings in a productive system but only those settings you require. To do so, use the common Customizing transport functionality.

You must have created plant 0001 in the logon client.

The characteristics for process management predefined by SAP are not transported in this step. In process management, to transport these characteristics to your logon client, you must carry out the step Transport predefined characteristics .
