Entering Index Values Manually 

Use

This function enables you to enter index values in the R/3 System manually.

You can also call up this function in Basic Functions for Customizing in Treasury by choosing Enter Indexes.

Prerequisites

Before you can enter an index value for the first time, you have to define the index in Customizing for Basic Functions in Treasury by choosing Define Index and define index types by choosing Define Index Types.

Features

You can enter new data and/or change or delete existing entries. You can use the following functions in the input help to do this: Copy as, Undo change and Position.

Activities

  1. Choose Treasury ® Treasury Management ® Securities ® Environment ® Market data ® Manual market data entry ® Enter index values or Treasury ® Treasury Management ® Basic Functions ® Market data management ® Manual market data entry ® Security and index ® Enter index values.
  2. A table appears on the Change View "Index Values (Secur. Index)": Overview screen, which contains all the previous index values.
  3. To change an existing value, you can overwrite the contents of the Index value and Source fields.
  4. Use the Position function to access the value you want to change quickly. Enter the Securities index, the Index type and the Price date you are searching for. The required index value jumps to the top of the list.

  5. To delete an entry, select it and choose Delete.
  6. To make a new entry, click the New entries button. Maintain the new values by entering the following:

To enter a new index value you can use the Copy as function on the initial screen to copy an existing entry as a reference. You then make any changes manually.

  1. Choose Undo change to cancel any changes you have made.
