Entering Reference Interest Rates Manually 

Use

This function enables you to enter reference interest rates in the R/3 System manually.

The system uses the interest rates defined here for calculating, for example, a variable interest rate that is linked to one of these reference interest rates.

You can also call up this function in Customizing for Basic Functions in Treasury by choosing Enter Interest Rates.

Prerequisites

Before you can enter a reference interest rate for the first time, you have to define the reference interest rate in Customizing for Basic Functions in Treasury by choosing Check Reference Interest Rates.

Features

You can enter new data and/or change or delete existing entries. You can use the following functions in the input help to do this: Copy as, Undo change and Position.

Activities

  1. Choose Treasury ® Treasury Management ® Securities ® Environment ® Market data ® Manual market data entry ® Enter reference interest rates or Treasury ® Treasury Management ® Basic Functions ® Market data management ® Manual market data entry ® Interest ® Enter reference interest rates.
  2. In the Change View "Reference Interest Rate Values": Overview, all the reference interest rates entered previously appear in a table.

You define the interest rates according to time (Valid from).

  1. To change an existing value, you simply overwrite it.

Use the Position function to access the value you want to change quickly. When you enter the reference interest rate you are searching for and the Valid from date, the interest rate you want jumps to the top of the list.

  1. To delete an entry, select it and choose Delete.
  2. Choose the New entries button to make a new entry. You can enter the new values on the following screen. Enter the following data:
