The net payment amount is the amount posted to the bank clearing account on the basis of the current posting activity, or the amount that is relevant for payment. If the posting activity does not generate any payments, the net payment amount can also be 0.
If you have specified a different settlement currency for individual flows, the system calculates two net payment amounts for the two different settlement currencies.
The net payment amount is calculated as follows:
- Flows with flow categories TTEN (final repayment), TD (dividends), TZ (nominal interest), TDA (distributions), TDB (rebates) and KTR (refundable tax) are included as incoming payments and increase the net payment amount.
- Flows wth flow categories XN (supplementary payment), KT (tax), KA (charges capitalized) and KN (charges not capitalized) are interpreted as outgoing payments and reduce the net payment amount.
- No other flows affect the net payment amount.
- A flow is only included in the net payment amount calculation if you have not set the incoming payments indicator for the flow type. If it is flagged, the system assumes that the flow is to be posted via a receivables account and is not relevant for payment.
