Incoming Payments
If you made the relevant Customizing settings for product types and flows types, the automatic posting and incoming payments functions can be used together.
In this case, automatic posting not only posts existing planned records as actual records, but it simultaneously generates new incoming payment planned records for the corresponding actual records. Using these incoming payment planned records, actual incoming payments can be entered in the system using the function
Incoming payments. Accounts receivable, generated by the automatic posting run, can then be cleared via the incoming payments function.
