Manually Generated Corporate Actions

Procedure

To create a Manually generated corporate action for all company codes:

  1. Enter the CA number.

Choose Define Number Ranges for Corporate Actions in Customizing to define whether you want the system to assign corporate action numbers internally (CA number), or whether numbers are to be assigned externally.

  1. Choose corporate action category Manually generated.
  2. Click the Create pushbutton.

The initial screen appears.

The Copy with reference function enables you to copy an existing corporate action.

  1. In the Basic data area, enter the Key date (the date when the position changes) and a Description for the corporate action.
  2. Define the corporate action in the table below.

You can find the exact procedure for this in the F1 help for the table.

  1. A corporate action is usually posted with the flow types defined in the Securities Customizing for the relevant flow categories (see List of Relevant Flow Categories).
  2. If you need to use other flow types, you can define them by choosing Display Flow Types.

  3. Save the corporate action or activate it.
  4. If you have only saved the corporate action, it is assigned status 0 (planned), and you can still change or delete it.
  5. If you have activated the corporate action, you can post it.
