Menus: Changes in Release 3.0

Description

In Release 3.0, the following changes were made to the menus in the Project System:

PS Application Menu

The PS application menu was revised and divided into individual area menus:

With this menu option, you can maintain the standard structures (standard WBS, standard networks and standard milestones), work centers, production resources/tools and documents (from document management, PS texts).
With this menu option, you maintain the work breakdown structure, networks, and documents (from document management, PS texts). Under the menu option Tools , you will find the PDC interface and where you can transfer data for results analysis.
In the menu option Planning, you will find all functions for planning your project: the project planning board, structure, schedules, costs/revenues, finances and resources.
In this menu option, you will find all functions for budget management.
In this menu option, you find all functions useful in project execution: Confirmations, costs/revenues (transfers, funds reservation, fixed price allocation), resources and all period closing functions.
In this menu, you find all functions for performing project analysis. This includes report selection, earned value analysis as well as the analyses and reports on structures, schedules, costs/revenues, finances and resources.
Using the menu option, Environment, you can navigate within the various menus.
Here you can also call up your own individual reports using Report selection.

Menu option: Network/Standard network

The menus for networks and standard networks were completely revised and restructured. In the English version, library network was renamed standard network.

All the menu options under the path Additional functions - > Details were moved out from menu Additional functions and introduced as a separate menu option Details . In the English version, the menu option Additional functions was renamed Extras .

Menu option: Work breakdown structure

The menu for the work breakdown structure was revised. All the menu options under the path Additional functions - > Details were moved out from menu Additional functions and introduced as a separate menu option Details. In the English version, the menu option Additional functions was renamed Extras.

Menu option: Time scheduling

The menu option for WBS scheduling was revised.

Menu option: Planning/Budget management

The menus were completely revised. The different views can now be called directly via Views . The functions check, copy view and total up were removed from the menu Additional functions and placed under Planned values or Edit. The menu Format was renamed Settings.
