Assigning an Object to a Different Development Class 

Use

You can reassign objects from one development class to another. This allows you, for example, to create and test a program in your own private objects (development class $TMP) and then assign it to another development class to transport it.

Procedure

  1. Select the required object in the object list.
  2. Choose Other functions ® Change development class from the context menu (right-click).

    3. The Reassign Object dialog box appears.

  3. Enter the name of the new development class.

  4. Choose to confirm.

    5. If the object was not already assigned to a change request, you must enter one now.

  5. Enter a valid change request and choose .

Result

The system assigns the object to the change request and moves it to the new development class.

You can reassign more than one object from the same object list by selecting them and using set mode. The system then reassigns all of the selected objects in a single operation.
