Sales at the POS 

Purpose

This scenario describes the communication between the POS system in a store and a central R/3 system and explains which data is processed in which system.

Process Flow

  1. POS outbound processing
    Changes to master data, such as the sales price, listing data or labeling data, for example, are prepared in the central R/3 system for transmission to the store.
  2. POS inbound processing
    Data entered at POS is sent to the central R/3 system in IDocs. The stock accounts are then updated in the central system in the background.
