New Reporting Function: Engineering Change Management Information System

Use

With the Engineering Change Management information system you get an overview of change numbers, assigned change messages, change documents as well as of concrete changes to objects, all on one screen. According to your own criteria, you generate different reports for all changes that you have carried out with Engineering Change Management, to display them on the screen, to print them out or to export them.

Detached, user defined selection

You can determine precisely which change numbers you want to display. You choose via:

The status

For example, you can then display change requests with a particular status. You could also get a specific overview of all change requests with the status to check.

Any fields for the change number

You determine which fields you want to use for the selection. For example, you could display all the change master records that:

Were created in a specific period of time

Were last changed by a particular administrator

Have a particular effectivity type

Are marked as late packages

A combination of status and any fields for the change number

The selection can be made from the system status aswell as from the user status.

If you regularly need the same report (such as all change requests to be approved), you can save the selection criteria as a variant in order to use it again later.

Efficient reporting lists

A list of the selected change numbers is displayed in the product structure browser. Change hierarchies are displayed in the form of overview trees so that the assignment of change packages to leading change masters can be seen immediately.

For each change number, you can display the object changes in an overview or in detail, as well as the individual object documents. For each change request or order you can display the change messages. If a change request or order is generated from a change message , or is assigned to a change message, this is also displayed in the information system.

The reporting list of the object overview, the change documents and the change messages can be sorted and filtered. The results can be printed out or exported in various formats such as as transfer spreadsheets.

Effects on Customizing
